Unfortunately, far too often, I found myself as the only black woman or one of very few that were included in these crucial decisions.

At She Impacts Policy, we aim to change that. Our mission to help black women create impactful policy change by educating and empowering them to start successful careers in the public policy space. Everyday policy proposals are created and moved through the local, state, and federal legislatures without any black women being a part of the discussion.
